Explanation for the Extended Absence

On May 7, 2017 my husband had a minor stroke. He has since made a full recovery from the stroke and is continuing his cardiac recovery with updated medications and doses.

I did the whole drive for Lyft thing in Morgantown and that was…interesting and for another blog post.

I switched cell plans from US Cellular to AT&T for coverage reasons and this included switching from Samsung to iPhone (or as my friend Bear calls it, the iFucker).

Our beautiful lab doberman mix passed away in July and our yorkie has had a tough time adjusting (he was 14 and she is 10) but is slowly perking back up.

We have conquered the flea problem and now have all cats and the yorkie on maintenance meds to prevent another infestation.

My article regarding Syria for Our Voice has been on the back burner while we have been dealing with everything else and I am just starting to get back into my research.

Just in time for the holiday season to kick off which has surprisingly not been nearly as stressful as I thought it would be this year.
